The plot of the anime:
Todano ends up stuck with Komi during his lunch break and decides to try communicating with her. In a touching scene involving “talking” through the blackboard, Tadano finds out Komi has a communication disorder. Komi is not difficult to understand; he couldn’t get the courage to speak, and his cold demeanor was a mask of the restlessness he was fighting. However, despite this, he had a goal of getting 100 friends. Todano, deciding he was first, decides to help him become more social and complete his goals. Given the high school they went to to specifically select the “most unique” students imaginable, that would be difficult.
